The Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) of a college is responsible for monitoring and enhancing the quality and standards of education and services provided by the institution.

The QAU develops and implements quality assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines that are aligned with national or regional accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in higher education.

The QAU designs and implements mechanisms for assessing the overall institutional effectiveness. This includes conducting surveys, collecting data, and analyzing key performance indicators related to teaching and learning, student outcomes, faculty qualifications, infrastructure, and support services. The findings are used to inform strategic planning and decision-making processes.

The QAU conducts internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and institutional policies. The unit reviews processes, procedures, and documentation across various areas, such as academic administration, student services, facilities, and financial management. The audits help identify areas of non-compliance or potential risks and recommend corrective actions.

The QAU supports staff and faculty development initiatives related to quality assurance. The unit provides training and resources on quality improvement methodologies, assessment techniques, and accreditation requirements.

The QAU maintains comprehensive documentation of quality assurance processes, evaluation reports, and accreditation-related materials.
